what's the point of a great-looking
laptop if it's covered with fingerprints
the answer respire s13 doesn't have that
issue no shiny silver machine with a
glossy glass screen here it's a pure
matte white with an anti-glare screen so
you don't get Sun in your eyes you're
looking at a laptop constructed of
aluminum and magnesium alloy not plastic
and while matte screens used to be the
sign of a cheap machine this one's a
crisp 1080p IPS panel which doubles as a
touchscreen here's the kicker
we got over nine hours of battery life
in our streaming video drain test
that's more than nearly everything
notebook we've tested except Apple's
MacBook if you get all that plus a
speedy core i7 processor a petabytes of
RAM and 512 gigs of solid-state storage
for $1000 I wouldn't recommend the ACMs
through Tayna just anyone now the
keyboard and trackpad have definitely
given you some grief it's a thin
keyboard not nearly as comfy as a
MacBook Air or some of the best windows
ultra things I've tried and the trackpad
sometimes jumps around and while this
laptop technically starts at 580 US
dollars Acer tries to get away with
smaller battery slower processor and not
nearly enough RAM or storage and the
cheaper configurations there's a lot of
competition for thin premium laptops and
this answer isn't my favorite but if
you're tired of fingerprints and Sun in
your eyes it's worth considering
you
