today I'll show you three ways you can
use a flash drive with your ps3 first up
media playback instead of burning your
media on a CD just to play back with
your ps3 you can put music videos and
photos on your USB Drive the trick is to
make sure when you're moving them from
your computer you organize your files
into individual folders labeled music
video and picture then when you plug the
drive into your ps3 you'll see your
media show up under each of those
categories from there you can play your
music watch a slideshow of photos or
fire up a video say you want to pick up
where your friend left off in a game or
maybe you want to bring your own MLB
franchise over to a friend's ps3 with
your USB Drive you can backup and
transfer your game saves to another ps3
plug in your USB Drive and from the
game's menu go to your game saves find
the game you want to transfer and hit
the options button then hit copy and
move it to your flash drive when you
plug your drive into another ps3 you'll
find the game save in the saved data
utility just load up your saved file and
play away finally one of the most
practical and time-saving ways to use
your drive is for updating your console
the ps3 is notorious for making you wait
while the latest software version
downloads and installs before you can do
anything else with your system to speed
things up download the update while
you're at work from the PlayStation site
make sure you put it in a folder titled
update on your USB Drive then when you
get home all you have to do is plug it
into your ps3 go to settings system
update and choose to install it from
your flash drive trust me it's a lot
faster this way so there you go three
quick tips for using a USB Drive with
your ps3 and four more USB fun be sure
