if you're looking for some ways to
squeeze out some last bit of juice from
your camera's battery pack then I've got
some tips for you in today's scene at
how to I'm Alexi survey DS the first tip
is use your digital cameras viewfinder
rather than your LCD screen this only
applies to cameras with an optical
viewfinder rather than an electronic one
because that still will use power the
LCD screen on your camera for composing
and reviewing images does eat into
battery life really really quickly so
use the optical viewfinder if you have
the option next up turn off any optional
features so if your camera has Wi-Fi GPS
image stabilization and even autofocus
these can all eat into battery life if
you just try to squeeze out one or two
last shots turn these features off and
get better battery life on your camera
next up get to know the power settings
in your digital SLR or compact camera
head into the menu systems find the
power saving settings make sure to turn
it on so this means if you leave your
camera with a period of inactivity it
will turn itself off automatically or
put itself to sleep after around 30
seconds to a minute you can usually
choose the time as well finally shooting
in high ISO settings with HD video or
burst settings are also going to eat
into your battery life so make sure not
to use them if your battery levels are
low if all else fails invest in a second
battery but hopefully these tips will
see you through just in case you don't
have that option I'm Lexie serve a DS
