Top 5 things missing from the iPhone SE (CNET Top 5)
2016-03-28
today we're counting down the top five
features missing from Apple's brand-new
iPhone se at number five and improved
front-facing camera the iPhone 6s packs
a snazzy 5 megapixel camera in the front
but Apple only gave the iPhone se front
camera 1.2 megapixels so that's no
change from the 5s cue the sad trombone
at number 4 the new touch ID the touch
ID sensor in the iPhone se is not the
same as in the iPhone success the touch
ID sensor on the iPhone 6s is incredibly
zippy now the original version wasn't
that slow but it's not the latest and
greatest version available next up 3d
touch if you try to touch the iPhone se
screen with force hoping to see a menu
like the iPhone 6s
I'm afraid I've got some bad news
nothing's gonna happen the iPhone SD
screen does not distinguish pressure to
the iPhone se a tap is just a tap coming
in at number 2 a great screen now I'm
not knocking the 4-inch size of the
display it's perfect front pocket sized
for the ladypants
but the resolution of the screen is
below 720p HD and the contrast ratio is
lower than the iPhone success so the
screen is less than great on the plus
side it does have the same pixel density
as a success
so you're less than HD image will be
sharp here's a quick reminder of what
new features are in the iPhone se it may
have the body of an old 5s but the new
SE gets 4k video recording and a 12
megapixel camera it has Apple pay built
in with an NFC chip hands-free Siri and
lots of speed thanks to a processor
upgrade alright now let's get critical
and get to the number one thing missing
from the iPhone se and the number one
thing missing a 128 gig option Apple sit
down we gotta have a talk it's 2016
apps are huge cameras are better so our
storage fills up faster than ever before
give us at least the option to get 128
gigabytes in the iPhone se I mean you do
realize you put the ability to take 4k
video in se
right because that takes up space space
we did it
we reached the end of the show but you
can quench your thirst for more top five
numerical ISTE goodness at top five
