I've an acronym we are taking a hands-on
look at the kirabook from toshiba part
of toshiba's new high-end kyra line this
is a 13-inch laptop it looks a little
bit like a cross between a retina
MacBook Pro and maybe a macbook air and
it actually has a very retina like
feature that's a 2560 x 1440 display
that's something you're not going to
find on any laptop outside of let's say
the Google pixel or the retina MacBook
Pro and of course you're going to pay a
retina like price for it this thing
starts at 1599 and that's without a
touch screen and another hundred bucks
for a touch screen you can go all the
way up to nineteen ninety nine if you
want to trade up to a faster processor
are people willing to pay that much of a
premium for a laptop that doesn't really
maybe look like a two-thousand-dollar
laptop I guess we'll find out when this
comes out in May i'm dan ackerman and
that is the toshiba kirabook
