hi everybody it's tim stevens was seen that we're here at the spring mountain performance driving school taking a look at a new option on the 2015 Corvette it's not the performance data recorder and it'll basically give you a recording of what you do on the track record your GPS position your acceleration even things like your steering angle and it puts it all as a video overlay on top of footage recorded from a camera that's embedded here in the front windshield these are 720p view forward we're going to take it for all right let's go up a hot laps in the 2015 Corvette everything is stored right here on an SD card and actually encrypts everything onto an mp4 file so you can just put this right on youtube if you want to it gives you a data overlay of your speed your track position everything else you can also run it through a software provided by Cosworth to get some more telemetry if you like so again available only on the 2015 Corvette so if you got a 2014 that might be time to upgrade again this is tim stevens with cnet thanks for watching
