google has a new tool that turns your selfie into a cute avatar find it in a lo a chat app that Google launched last year it scans your face using the front camera then neural networks and computer vision determined features like hair color and face shapes the app matches features to illustrations and turns you into a cartoon make your avatar by opening a new chat then tap the emoji icon you'll either see a sticker that says create your own or scroll across to the three dots at the end of the sticker row enter the sticker gallery and choose turn as selfie into stickers open the camera and then put your face in the frame make sure to position your eyes in the glasses so now the selfie and you're now a cartoon if you don't like your hair or eyes or beard go in and customize once you're happy hit save to see the cartoons so now you can only send these in a low but there is a share button that lets you send out a cartoon collage but how does it compare to other avatar apps this is what Google thinks I look like and this is what I think I look like in bitmoji the difference is that bitmoji doesn't use your actual selfie to get a baseline image you have to make it yourself from scratch a low selfie feature is out for Android and coming soon to iOS
