Twitter is looking for a new place to
nest the social network is considering
selling itself to the highest bidder and
so far potential suitors include
salesforce.com and Google that's
according to reports from several news
outlets including the Wall Street
Journal and CNBC
Twitter shares surged Friday with the
news that it may be closer to selling
inside sources are telling reporters
that Twitter is exploring options that
the board is interested in the idea of
selling to another company as a way to
grow but there's no formal bid as of
this report
Twitter's big trouble is that it has
trouble growing sure it has 313 million
users and Twitter users are passionate
but it is not getting new users growth
has been flat and even with adding
sports streaming or periscope live
broadcasts it just doesn't bring in much
new interest CNBC reported that
conversations about a sale are picking
up momentum and it could result in a
deal before the end of the year this is
not the first time we've heard rumors of
twitter selling before verizon and IBM
were some of the companies in the mix
but now with Salesforce and Google
interested things are heating up for a
network that has lots of potential for
media and advertising companies I'm
