Uber to lose London license, Facebook drops share shake-up (Tech Today)

uber is set to lose its license to
operate in London by the end of the
month City regulator Transport for
London announced on Friday it will not
renew ubers private hire licence when it
expires on September 30 saying the
company had demonstrated a lack of
corporate responsibility in an email
sent to staff uber CEO Derek OSA Shah he
said there is a high cost to a bad
reputation but the company would
vigorously appeal the decision Facebook
has ditched plans for a stock shake-up
which would have allowed CEO Mark
Zuckerberg to retain control of the
company whilst selling off his shares in
2015 Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla
Chan announced they would give away 99%
of their shares over their lifetime
Zuckerberg says that plan stands but he
can still maintain voting control for
the next 20 years or more and finally
the US Department of Homeland Security
has confirmed election systems in 21
states were hacked in the lead-up to the
2016 election while vote counting was
not affected the news once again raises
questions about the integrity of
election systems homeland security did
not disclose the states affected however
Associated Press reports that key states
Arizona Virginia and Wisconsin were
among the states notified
