Walmart's pulled the plug on SNES
classic pre-orders and people aren't
happy last Friday evening
Walmart put the product page live for
the hotly anticipated console as you
would expect plenty of eager gamers
handed over their payment details
thinking they were going to be first to
get one confirmations were sent and
pre-orders were scheduled for delivery
in early October
but now Walmart's done a u-turn and
canceled them in an email to some
customers Walmart senior director of
customer care said that the pre-orders
accidentally went live due to a
technical glitch quote we know that this
is incredibly disappointing to you and
we're truly sorry for this mistake at
the time of recording we're waiting to
hear back from Walmart to confirm if the
cancellations affect all pre-orders I've
got to admit if I received this email
I'd probably feel like I just fell off
rainbow road last year some nintendo
fans got the same sinking feeling with
the NES classic it caused a huge stir
because it was notoriously hard to find
and stock ran out incredibly fast the
SNES classic officially launches on the
29th of September for your best chances
of snagging one keep your finger over
