a year ago the HP Spectre x-360 became
one of my favorite laptops it's simple
really
for under a thousand US dollars this
laptop comes with practically everything
I need head-turning ly sleek design
check speedy core i5 processor check
spacious keyboard and touchpad yes
beautiful 1080p touchscreen you betcha
even the battery life is surprisingly
great I see about six hours of real
world work on a charge and 10 hours of
HD video playback and unlike most thin
lightweight laptops the spectre x360 has
all the ports I need at work I plug in
two external monitors a mouse and a
Gigabit Ethernet adapter and transform
it into my workstation when I commute
home on an overcrowded train I can bend
the screen over backwards to easily fit
on my left it's great there are only two
reasons I might hesitate to buy a new
13-inch Spectre today first there's a
new 15 inch model that's just as good if
you're willing to pay a little extra
second Spectre x-360 isn't the only
excellent thin and light laptop you can
buy today the Razer Blade stealth and
the Dell XPS 13 err excellent
alternatives for about the same money
but if you're looking for a laptop that
does this the HP Spectre x-360
is my go-to
