thought you survived the Yahoo hack with
your information intact think again
Yahoo revealed the information of all of
its users was compromised in the massive
hack back in 2013 Yahoo first estimated
that 1 billion of its users had been
affected by this hack when it first came
to light three years after it actually
happened in 2016 and even then it was
already the largest hack in history and
now let's add three billion of them
that's more users than every person on
Facebook Instagram and Twitter combined
so if you have a yahoo account go change
your password now according to Yahoo the
company discovered this information with
the help of forensic experts after it
was bought by Verizon and they still
haven't figured out who was behind the
attack the good news the investigation
also found that the account information
that was stolen did not include
passwords in clear-text payment card
data or bank account information but
that doesn't mean your other accounts
aren't at risk so if you use your yahoo
email and the same password for logins
elsewhere change the passwords on all
these accounts watch out for suspicious
activity on your email and check the
last logins from the settings or just
delete your account altogether
