I'm not gonna lie I've talked to my
appliances before but we're here today
at a GE kitchen to find out what happens
when your appliances actually listen to
you
Alexa tell Geneva to set the oven for
350 degrees I've set your oven to bake
at 350 degrees Fahrenheit Amazon and GE
have created a new skill set called
Geneva which lets you control GE
connected appliances using Amazon Alexa
with this new skill set you can ask
Amazon Alexa through an Amazon device
like an echo or a tap to ask Geneva to
do things like preheat your oven or get
the oven ready for cookies or even
prepare coffee on your Keurig connected
GE refrigerator now if you already have
GE connected appliances in an Amazon
Alexa device like an echo you can go
ahead and get started with Geneva today
all you have to do is go to the Amazon
skills store and enable the Geneva skill
set this bill set is very promising for
the future of the smart kitchen one
thing we've really wanted to see here at
CNET appliances and what the CNET smart
home is more voice control so to have
Amazon Alexa be able to help out with
that is really huge especially when you
consider all the things Amazon Alexa can
already do we're excited to see where
this partnership leads especially if
other brands get involved
