hello I'm the Westway we've seen it here at CES 2013 I'm hanging out with my new robot pal this is the iRobot mirror pool cleaning robot now iRobot of course is best known for making Roomba the vacuuming robots but it's turned its attention to the difficult business of cleaning swimming pools there are a number of features on this that aim to make it easier to use than existing pool robots so it's cleaning your pool this robots obviously going to get filled with water and become very heavy and that's where these rubbery valves come in because as soon as you lift it out of the water all of the liquid is going to gush out of these and that should make it light enough to easily pick up so how does it actually work iRobot tells me that mirror figures out the size of your swimming pool generally by just randomly bumping around into walls and stuff and that helps it clean a bit more efficiently if you take a look at the wheels you can see they've got this foam coating and coupled with these two blowers on the underside that means that this can stick to walls so it comes out the side of your pool and cleans the water line as well when the robot uprising happens they won't be too happy that you made them clean your pool but until then this looks like a handy time-saving gadget I'm the Westway you've seen it and this is the iRobot mirror
