hey what's up tube Willington here and welcome to another sound battle where we let speakers speak for themselves in the battlefield today we have the UE mega bomb 3 a newly released speaker going up against the JBL extreme 2 which is also still kind of new I did full detailed review videos of each of these speakers so if that's what you are actually looking for I will put the links to those videos down below but this video will be mainly focusing on how they compare sound wise and as usual I'll be using a high quality binaural microphone so for the best experience please use headphones with that said let's hear the speakers speak okay so the extreme two is slightly louder than the mega boom three by about two DB according to my measurements but at the same time you have to remember that the mega boom three is a 360 speaker and not directional like the extreme two so while it might not be as loud as the extreme - when it's facing you directly it's going to be more room filling and it will sound good in all directions well as with the extreme - you have to be right in front of it to get the best sound out of it because it's such a direction of speaker but when it comes down to it I prefer the sound coming out of the extreme - while it's best might sound a little bit too much to some people in some songs it's way more defined and punchy than the best coming out of the mega boom three the mids and highs on the mega boom three are geared but they are not bad on the extreme - either while I know there are a lot of people who are going to like the sound of the mega boom 3 and that's judging by how much people loved the mega boom I personally would have loved it a lot more if it had a little bit of better best performance than what they have right now and I know it's a little bit of an improvement in comparison to the previous model the mega boom but still I would have loved a little bit better than what they have right now on here now I know it's not as big as the extreme tube but considering its price point and how other speakers that are about its size like the revolve plus how they handle bears I feel like they can do better anyways for this battle the JBL extreme - takes the win for me it has a wider reach on the frequency curve and the overall balance between the highs mids and bass is actually not bad either now this doesn't mean that the mega boom 3 is a terrible speaker in fact if you're someone who likes very minimal in your music or whatever you listen to and you are all about 360 sound the mega boom 3 is your guy here but for someone who listens to best heavy music oh the reason you're here is just to find out which one has more best yeah the extreme 2 is your guy here for sure and I have links to these speakers down below so for and up-to-date pricing all want to get one for yourself please use those links down there it really helps out to the channel other than that let me know what you think about this 2 speakers in the comment section below if you're new here please subscribe so you do not miss out on other videos that are coming if you liked the video leave it away if you didn't like it leave a dislike I just want to get some sort of feedback from you because you watched the video thanks again for watching I will see you in the next video peace
