hey everyone this is steve from gamers nexus donna and we here we are here at PAX Prime 2014 i am at intel's booth right now we just just saw the unveil of the x99 chipset and the new cpu got some issues boards here i am joined by Randy studi gaming God and gave me an ecosystem manager at Intel and he's going to tell us about the new processor here and chipset today so what's what's the processor what are the core specs so the really big news is eight core so this is the Intel's first eight core 16 thread processor it is a massive awesome system if you are into gaming and you are into multiple monitors and this is the system for you you want to have two three hi 4k displays connected to your to your gaming experience and surround view or whatever this is the kind of system you want to buy what's our what's our stock operating frequency it's a three gigahertz on all eight cores this system from Falcon Northwest they shared with us is a currently overclocked from Falcon directly at 4.4 gigahertz so as a heavily overclockable platform and in terms of the PCIe lanes things like that can you can you give us information so40 lanes of pci express new ddr4 memory just a you know a bump up on storage performance so it's it's a it's a really kick-ass system what would you say is is the target market at this point of the extreme series so it's a couple so gamers of course and gamers most notably gamers who want a game on multiple displays so if you're if you're someone who really really really wants two three even four graphics cards in your system because you're running you know 346 displays you're the guy that wants the system because this is the only thing that's really gonna be able to handle that so that is all your information for a x99 in video format hit the link in the description below for the full article and we'll have some more information some specs if you want the MSRP you can check the article and I'll go check newegg for you and otherwise you got to check with the cysts builders like Falcon Northwest and those guys so thank you for your time and what's what's the what's going on here at the booth today anything major in our booth you know we've got the new a core systems running with oculus rift so if you're at pax and you haven't made it over the intel booth swing on by get in line you'll get a chance to see Lucky's tale or super hot very cool oculus rift games sounds good so check that out if you are here and we will see you all next time he's
