SteelSeries CES 2014 - Wireless H Gaming Headset (PC / PS4 / XBOX ONE)
2014-01-13
Yurika noxious 2014 coverage is brought
to you by and CA XCOM technology connect
okay so coming off to the last part of
their announcing here at CES 2014 from
SteelSeries is this Wireless H you guys
know that SteelSeries is into gaming
peripherals and they have made a
reputation for their gaming line of
headphones as well and what what you see
here is a wireless sort of
representation of the 9h it sort of has
a very similar design and this is one of
the things when they're calling a very a
true multi system sort of multi
compatible headset that's because this
is a wireless headset with has a lot and
we'll show you the base later on but the
base basically acts as a hub for multi
system connections so you can connect
with your ps4 which they have here you
connect to your PC you can basically
connect them to your speakers as well
and that will wirelessly stream
basically all the audio into these
headphones so first let's take a look at
the the headband this is one of the very
unique features about this as you can
tell this is sort of pleather design
very nice and all comfortable but it has
a kind of like some memory foam in
inside there so it will shape based on
your head size I have put them on and
they seem a little bit tight but it
seems like if you do stretch them out a
little bit later on they will become
more comfortable the ear cups are also
nice and deep and they have the exact
same sort of memory foam inside of them
and they do continue with this whole
nine and the whole H series theme with
orange threading in the side and a
single thread on the outside we do have
a volume control on your left ear cup is
this will be left or on your right ear
cup is the volume control so a volume
control on the actual headset is very
important you have to reach out for
anything it is adjustable like so on the
right side obviously a retractable
microphone looks like with a LED that
will light up with mute and that's
pretty much it for the headset because
the in terms of the features but this is
of course the wireless headset there are
no connection so let's take off this
left ear side panel and this is you can
see an integrated battery pack that you
have to remove in order for you to
charge the headset well now the wireless
H will come
two batteries that means that you will
get sort of this long charge you can
charge while you can charge one while
using this headset also one more thing
to notice is we have this share and chat
option so when we focus on there so
share in chat that's for your okay so
the share option is it's a regular 3.5
millimeter jack and this is a throughput
Jack so you can connect another
headphone and the person and the other
headphone will hear exactly what you're
listening to so it's a throughput to
allowing two dual headsets to listen to
what is coming here and right beside the
share plug is this chat option which
will allow you to plug in your xbox one
cable in order for you if we're not for
the Xbox want to recognize what the mic
is past so it's a mic pass-through for
the Xbox one we also have an on/off
button right here that will illuminate
blue when it's on right now I believe
the battery is dead but it will
illuminate when your your headset is on
so let me put them on so you can see
what would they look like they do have a
bit of an the sound isolation so I do
sound muffled but so far they have a
very nice and tight fit perhaps not for
long gaming sessions but you do have to
obviously wear them in like so now very
interesting part of this of this
wireless headset is this sort of hub so
we have an LED we have a volley control
that is also the interaction by pressing
inside since the back button by
interacting with certain things so we
have audio source profile options you
can also go into equalizer to adjust a
bunch of other things right through
there and we also can enable Dolby
Surround and this base this is where you
charge your battery so you can simply
just pop the battery out like so you can
use one value with a headset and you can
have the other one so it's charging
constantly and well we're very told that
it will sound for about what 16 hours on
time
so in the back we have analog in and
chat out we have the power for the hub
you have a USB cable so you can connect
this to a computer and will act act as a
sound sound sound card in optical in and
optical out so there are and all the
cables by the way will be included
the package that's awesome to see from
SteelSeries now so this concludes the
sort of our coverage here at Steele
serious booth this is the wireless age
very impressive pair of headphones a
sorry headset incorporates sort of your
own volume control on the headphone it's
wireless capability and really looking
forward to testing them out so guys
thanks for watching our CES 2014
coverage here it's still serious booth
