Ghostek NRG bookbag - Built-in POWER BANK - REVIEW
2016-04-11
hey everyone Jimmy with Jim's review
room I've said it a while back I was
trying to find companies that would send
me some bags to review ghost Tech was
very nice enough to provide two bags
here one to review and the other one to
give away so look out for my giveaway
video into the next several days here
but this bag it's priced at $99 and it's
not just any kind of bag either but
there's some built-in features for those
on the go so without further ado my
channel is here to help you make a
purchase decision welcome everyone to
jim's redo
the first thing to address the NRG bag
has a built-in removable battery
now this holds seven thousand milliamp
sand it's able to recharge your devices
while you're on the go
inside which is super convenient to
charge your devices there's a micro USB
cord a lightning cable for Apple devices
and an old-school Apple connector to the
right there's a USB cord that oddly
didn't come connected on either of my
two bags here I just had to reconnect it
to the power bank and this does provide
power to an external USB power port on
the front now moving into the outside of
the bag here once you connect your phone
tablet or other miscellaneous device
press that center button and it starts
to charge now I did test here you can
have a USB connection here and an apple
connection and both devices will charge
simultaneously but the only issue and
oddly this is just purely aesthetic the
battery indicator isn't that stitched
into the middle of the bag isn't that
symmetrical it's just off a little bit
here to one side again just purely
cosmetic now in regards to recharging I
didn't see anything saying that it has
fast charging or quick charging enabled
most higher banks still don't today
anyways but I personally timed this with
my Samsung s7 and was able to achieve
almost two hours from a dead battery to
full
now using Samsung's own charger in my
phone review Samsung had taken about an
hour and a half so not too bad from my
experience considering I didn't see fast
charging on their spec sheet nonetheless
this does recharge my phone pretty quick
and very less regarding the energy
battery itself there is a supplied wall
adapter to just plug this into the side
of the bag and from my tester that did
take a little over four hours to fully
charge from dead as well
don't over the pockets and soon comfort
this thing holds a good bit
the front pocket where the battery is
located is a bit narrow so keeping a
notepad or maybe your phone when not
charging here is convenient not only
wish that there were some slots here to
hold my pencils and pens like my other
bags as you never know when you need to
write or draw something physically or
manually instead of using your phone so
the next compartment can easily take in
textbooks and other miscellaneous items
the bag does extend out and it's able to
accommodate most of my stuff comfortably
and when you are recharging your phone
these pockets back here it works
perfectly in holding it in place now
going on to the back side we have one
main frontal area here you can say a
small one that's able to hold my iPad
air and the last pocket I used to hold
my laptop now on the very bottom towards
your lower back is a pouch to hold your
pens cords earphones and other
miscellaneous items that you're choosing
and last on the other side there are
pockets used to hold your water bottle
soda bottle which seems to work fine a
bit deeper pockets would have given a
little bit more peace of mind but
nonetheless they still work regarding
comfort there's plenty of cushion on the
back and having the laptop stowed away
it does straighten your back up a bit
here but there's no sharp edges there's
really no discomfort at all the straps
on the shoulders provide enough cushion
here for heavy loads and they do feel
economical and not tight pinching and
the shoulders and less considering this
has a battery pack inside dosha Tech is
claiming the energy bag to be
water-resistant now I stuffed a bunch of
paper into the bag zipped it up and
sprayed what I believe to be a moderate
amount of water the upon opening
unfortunately there is some water that
did seep in the paper was indeed wet in
certain areas I'm shocked it didn't
offer a flap over the zippers to prevent
water from intruding versus using a
water guard on the inside that they have
here so that's it for this review check
out their bag with the links in the
video description also follow me on
social media I'll be posting very soon
that giveaway video as promised again
I'm Jimmy with Jim's review room you
guys take care and I'll see you in the
next one
