hey it's up guys john here i am going to show you a video of my desktop in my dock which seems to be the new thing to do so i'm going to join the trend and give you guys a whirl at what I see and what I look at every day anyway guys I hope this works I'm trying a new screen capture program here so good a shot enjoy and don't forget to check out the website at www John for lakers com that's jaaon number for lakers calm and the old John for lakers dot blog spot.com address takes you the same place you know you guys enjoy and talk to you soon bye alright guys so hopefully this works this is my desktop and here obviously is my doc most of the applications should look pretty familiar to you guys but i'll show you what the are real quickly anyway finder obviously we all know dashboard it brings up all your all your widgets oh thank you guys have skin on my widgets anyway TV weather with that kind of stuff firefox which is the browser that I used primarily Safari you know use that occasionally I chat familiar with itunes iphoto imovie HD which i use instead of imovie oh wait i just don't like imovie await so much I never really got used to it so i use imovie HD I DVD I web address book a calendar quicktime photo booth which is what you use to take pictures of yourself and some cool backgrounds calculator parallels which is let's meet virtualized windows skype which is a a VoIP client essentially a internet phone which is very handy my system preferences spaces which gives me different spaces Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel Microsoft PowerPoint these are all await and I'll give you guys a walkthrough of all these a little bit later to share what they look like and they another video but off so it looks like a microsoft project gallery so I'm something that actually I use quite a bit and i'll show you guys that too in a little later video and the program right here that i'm using to make this video is a program called screen IAM documents which is the only stacks that i use you know some files parallels and Brahms and word documents i have there and in my applications so here are all the applications that i have installed that aren't on my doc appt delete I'll walk you through some of these chaste DVD player divx converter Full Tilt Poker I squint you know kind of stuff neooffice i still have here male microsoft's all the rest of microsoft stuff that i'm not using right now including entourage and up top here i've got google notified whenever I get a new email shows up right there this is smc fan control which lets me see what temperature my fans are running it I've got that preset just right here's my monitor displays in monitor settings Bluetooth my wireless tells me that I'm on wireless right now volume I batteries I'm twenty-nine percent and time and then my spotlight so right guys this is just a real quick video of my desktop and my doc like I said in some later video like I said I'll deal with some later videos rather a walkthrough for you of these three especially Word PowerPoint Excel actually one thing i will show you guys it's just time machine you may not have seen what that looks like so let me show you real quick let's say you have a document saved on your desktop that you lose let's make a folder here let's make new folder will call it important stuff and then that important stuff older you get all your important we're documents your resume your school papers whatever and for some reason that actually against indeed gets deleted oh crap it's deleted and a couple days go by and you realize you know delete it it's what you'll do is you'll click on time machine you've hooked up to an external hard drive opens up a folder so i had my desktop up it's opened up a desktop folder i can search anywhere i know i get this three-dimensional thing and i kak chua lee go back in time actually see all the stuff you can pick up all the stuff that was there you know that you had any desktop the past of all we need to pick up that my important documents folder if you just move back so then when you find the folder you want you can just click it you know whatever it is a pix folder or if it was important stuff folder in game shape your store and restores back very cool and pops up goes away any guys just a real quick walkthrough i hope you enjoyed it I hope it was somewhat helpful and i'll talk to you guys soon and see in a later video and don't forget to check out john for lakers calm bye guys
