good morning YouTube Jonathan with Texas lunch and dinner here it's been over 300 days since we've seen an update to the MacBook Pro Series this morning Apple finally released a long-awaited and long needed refresh to the MacBook Pro family they introduced the i-5 and the i7 processors into the 15 and 17 inch models I was disappointed not to see quad cores thrown into the mix but knowing Apple they're probably going to save that until the fall refresh there are no physical changes no faceless it's all interior that hasn't upgraded I'm going to take you guys to the specs the prices so look it start we're going to start out with the 13-inch MacBook Pros the 1199 based model jumps from 2.2 up to 2.4 gigahertz the $14.99 model jumps from 2.5 3 to 2.66 and we're also seeing a slight bump in the video card department moving to the 15-inch based model we see the i5 introduced you see a 2.4 base clock which bumps up to 2.9 3 with turbo boost for $200 more you jump up to the 2.5 3 i5 processor which turbo boost up to 3.0 6 gigahertz now the OS on these models sees 4 cores to physical and 2 virtual the 15-inch i7 model jumps up to 2.6 6 gigahertz and has a turbo boost of 3.3 3 gigahertz the base 17 inch model comes in at 22 99 with a 2.53 i5 processor this also features an ExpressCard 34 slot instead of an SD slot and a slight boost in the graphics card the highest end 17 inch model comes in at $24.99 with an i7 2.66 gigahertz processor and both feature a 1920 by 1200 HD display thank you guys for watching if you guys like the music in the video go ahead and click the video link to check out the full song
