Core i7 MacBook Pro Bootup - Kingston 256GB V+ SSD vs Stock 5400 RPM HDD
2010-06-16
what's going on YouTube this is Jonathan
with TLD as most of you guys know I
picked the Kingston 256 gigabyte SSD I
have these lined up right now the old
one with my 5400 rpm hard drive and the
new one the SSD I'm gonna do a boot up
comparison for you guys I have them
lined up I'm gonna kind of watch them
with you guys and tab them on my iPhone
and we can see the difference between it
- all right the big screen let's go
ahead start the clock the big screen is
the SSD we know it's gonna be faster I
know it's confessed for sure let's see
how much more faster it is so here we go
you see the Apple screen starting up and
it looks like they're pretty much even
right now we're going to take a look at
the difference right now so there you go
SSD is now done about 20 seconds I mean
you can give or take that and we're
gonna flip over to the 5400 rpm which is
still going we need some jeopardy music
right now still going still going almost
there and we're done so there we go
about 44 seconds for the 5400 rpm about
20 seconds for the SSD nearly cut it in
half and I think that's fantastic as far
as yet is Twitter 56 gigabytes so that
the storage is up there I think a
smaller one should be a little bit
quicker but that's cut the boot up time
I mean more than half so you guys can
see the difference right there I'll have
the install videos up tomorrow stay
tuned for that and I will catch you guys
later
you
