what's going on guys this is Jonathan here with tle gonna show you guys how to upgrade your memory on the 2010 iMac now this will work on both the 21 and a half and the 27-inch models you're gonna need a number two screwdriver and I also learned on a small flathead will work as well if you guys don't have a Phillips sort of start there's three screws simply just unscrew those you don't have to worry too much about the screws falling off or losing them because they are intact with the actual cover now once the cover is removed we're going to pop out the little plastic tab if you are upgrading all four slots you can also use this to pull out the memory since I'm only adding two I don't need to remove anything go ahead and position the member like you see in the video with the biggest tab to the left now you're gonna need to apply a little force to pop it in that's what she said and don't be afraid to give it a little force like I said you're going to hear a slight pop from there we're going to take that plastic tab put it right back in where we found it we're going to rinse repeat and move on to the next memory tab so like I mentioned same thing the bigger tab on the left hand side go ahead and put it in there and like I said you're gonna need to put a little bit of force because it does give you a little bit of resistance so you guys can see this is like super easy install you guys were kind of scared or you think you have to pay Apple to get the extra memory it's completely untrue you guys can do this yourself in about ten minutes so all we got to do is put the lid back on and we're all set to go now that everything is installed y'all ready to go boot up your iMac head over to the finder bar select about this Mac and make sure the new memory shows up so you guys can see everything was done correctly hope this helped hope you guys learn from it I'll catch you guys later and don't forget to check out the latest video
