what up guys johnathan here was TLD and I got a quick speed comparison between the OCZ vertex 3 max I ops hundred 20 gigabyte SSD compared to the 72 and an RPM hard drive that was in the MacBook Pro prior so the first thing we're going to look at is a disk speed test and you can see the 7200 rpm hard drive performs very well but when you stack it up to the OCZ it is no comparison it gets blown out of the water the next thing I want to bring up that sometimes gets overlooked is noise so here is the 7200 rpm hard drive so there is noise with the hard drive because there is moving part so when you compare to the SSD it is completely silent and that is a huge deal to me in the next test I want to show you guys a 2 gigabyte file duplicate so this is going to show off the right speeds and you can see yet again the OCZ destroys the 72 at rpm hard drive and lastly I'm gonna close this video out with a boot up comparison between the two and it should be no surprise which one is faster again so hopefully you guys enjoyed this video thank you guys for watching if you are feeling like being also make sure to hit that like button if you haven't done so already feel free to subscribe and if you missed it go and check out part 2 of my macbook pro upgrade series where I swap at the hard drive put it in SSD and I also added 16 gigs of RAM later
