what's up internet Jonathan here with TLC just give you guys a quick heads up if you are in the market to pick up a new iMac do not buy one right now just hold off it's looking like we're about four to six weeks away possibly the last week of April or the first week of May we should see the Refresh of the new iMacs with the release of the new macbook pros that give us a really good idea of what we can expect for the new iMac so notably we'll see the new Sandy Bridge intel cpus so new core i3 i5 and i7 just faster CPUs all around we'll get the HD isight camera in the imax finally and the addition of the Thunderbolt port for those of you that don't know a thunderbolt is a high-speed in and out basically it carries PCI technology with display port so you can daisy-chain displays hard drives and it's actually about two times faster than USB 3.0 on that will see some updated AMD video cards I don't think we'll see Nvidia in there any time soon I would possibly see the option to support up to 32 gigabytes of RAM on the imac because new macbook pros actually supports 16 from two channels of memory so there's four slots in the imac and because those slots they might be expensive but we should see compatibility of up to 32 gigabytes of ram on the new imac so as far as the hard drive go same configuration dual hard drives one SSD one hard drive up to two terabytes in the same 256 gigabyte SSD as far as the storage goes and beyond that that should be really what we can expect for the new iMacs there's been some rumors of possibly a bigger iMac or different sizes maybe a 24-inch being the base model on the 30 inch imac being the big daddy of the imax so i think that more than likely won't happen but we'll have to wait and see everything else i said in this video pretty confident you guys can look forward to that with the new imac so again if you're in the market been saving your money do not buy an imac right now and the April first week of May we should see the new iMacs for 2011 thank you guys for watching feel free to subscribe I will keep you guys posted if I hear any official news and I'll catch you guys later you
