hey guys john here with TLD hope you guys are doing well hopefully you're enjoying the streak 12 days of top fives we are back and we're looking at tech under 500 bucks now my top 5 tech under 300 bucks which we did miss we link down below a few of you asked why did you not include the oneplus one and to be honest that is a penny in at 300 bucks you add chipping and boom you're right over that number plus for only 50 bucks more you can jump up from 16 up to 64 gigabytes and since you cannot expand the external storage that would make most sense but regardless the oneplus one changed where we looked at high-end smartphones so this guy features a Snapdragon 801 quad-core CPU 3 gigs of superfast ddr3 RAM a stellar 13 megapixel camera and a beefy and I mean beefy 3100 milliamp hour battery which will easily get you through the day and then some now this of course is powered by cyanogen so you're getting a pure Google s experience with tons of customization options now the only downside with this is trying to actually get your hands on what it looks like right now you can actually pick one up without an invite we'll have details on that link down below so next up is the GoPro Hero 4 Black Edition and this is possibly the most badass action cam on the market it has everything we've come to love and expect from a GoPro wide-angle awesomeness waterproof video but now it also features 4k 30p video recording you also get 120 FPS 1080p video for that slow motion game this is a penny under 500 bucks but right now Amazon is running a holiday bundle which comes with the hero4 black a 32 gigabyte micro SD card a headstrap mount and a $50 Amazon gift card now alternatively if you do not need 4k video recording it's nice but it's not necessary you can also look at the gopro hero4 silver which is 100 bucks less and it actually comes with a built-in touch display so coming in at number three is the Sonos play 5 and to put it simply the play 5 is one of the best wireless speakers options on the planet it's different than a Bluetooth speaker in the sense that it's meant to be a home solution so it connects to your home Wi-Fi and can stream music through apps like Spotify Pandora or actually even physical libraries like your iTunes collection with the play five you get Class D amplifiers and a total of five speakers hence the name and fourth size this managed emma packs some serious punch it has a super rich balanced sound and is plenty loud to fill your room now if you're watching this video before December 27th you're luck because Amazon is actually one of the promo where that will kick you back 40 bucks just for picking this up the details are linked down below now moving on to number 4 on the list this is from HTC it's Google's latest tablet offering it is the Nexus 9 now this guy packs an 8.9 inch 2048 by 1536 display and most importantly it is running Android 5.0 lollipop which is a downright beautiful and buttery smooth experience what separates this from the pack is since it's made by HTC it features front-facing stereo speakers and if you've experienced boom sound on an HTC One I think we can all agree we need to boom sound all the things and that's right now it is $50 off on Amazon so you can grab either model at either capacity for well under 500 bucks with room to spare for accessories now some of you may be asking Jonathan why did you not include the iPad air 2 will relax because that is pretty much penny under 500 bucks and if you move up it can actually go up to a thousand bucks but if Android is not your thing you can actually check out the original iPad air which is still a very capable tablet you can actually pick up the 16 gig model for 399 or the 32 gigabyte model for 449 so last up on today's top 5 tech under 500 bucks is actually a tie and I'm going with either a ps4 bundle or an Xbox one bundle and I'm doing this because it doesn't need to be a fanboy war pick what suits you the best and go with it so right now the best deal for an Xbox one is the Assassin's Creed unity bundle which is on sale for the holidays for 349 now the best ps4 deal is Amazon's two free game bundle where you get the ps4 the Last of Us remastered and either destiny NBA 2k15 far cry 4 or LittleBigPlanet 3 your choice so with that I think this year is definitely a much better time to pick up a next-gen console last year they were new there wasn't a lot of titles out so this is a much better choice and they're cheaper so that wraps up today's top 5 tech under 500 bucks give this video a huge thumbs up if you enjoyed it it of course is appreciated and this time you get a virtual high five from a swing as usual everything featured in today's video is linked down below along with the other 12 days of top 5 just in case you missed those aside from that this is Jonathan with TLD and I'll catch you guys later
