Twisted Metal (2012): First Impressions w/ Gameplay
2012-02-17
what's up internet kevin here with TLD
bringing you my first our impressions
for twisted metal on the ps3 now I know
this is a couple days late I got a
little sidetracked to a combination of
day job Mass Effect 3 multiplayer and
then all day yesterday with the Vita now
that I've actually got nothing to start
playing the game it definitely looks as
though the game is trying to recapture
its original dark and gritty roots it's
especially noticeable in the opening the
story mode there's a small intro movie
for sweet tooth that is pretty damn dark
and well to avoid using just a bad pun
it is twisted now whether or not this
gritty tone actually translates into the
actual gameplay is still yet to be seen
a bit there are small intros and outros
for some of the stages that have a bit
of a creepy voice thing going on but
it's nothing too dark as far as the
actual gameplay goes it is quite a bit
of fun watching things explode and
blowing up your enemies the controls are
a little annoying right now it kind of
reminds me of driving an RC car with
having to hit double back to go
backwards and it's using square to
accelerate rather than the more common
standard of X it's just a little
disorienting at first but I am starting
to get used to it and as I do the game
does get progressively more and more fun
because I'm getting a lot more efficient
to just blowing up all my enemies now of
course this is only after my first hour
of playing the game and this is doing
the game single-player story mode which
should more or less be treated as just a
one big tutorial / playing multiplayer
later so once I get a chance to finish
that up and play a lot more online play
I'll let you guys into my final thoughts
as always guys thanks for checking out
our vids if you haven't gotten chance
yet make sure to check out all the
videos we released yesterday related to
the PS Vita and if you want to be extra
awesome make sure that that like button
and I'll see you guys next time
