what up guys Jonathan here with TLD I got an audio shootout between the tascam dr-05 which you see a my left hand side and the zoom h1 handy portable recorders so both of these the input level is set on 60 currently you're listening to the zoom h1 which what I normally use I'm going to switch over to the tascam right now so now we're listening to the tascam and you notice these both features stereo condenser microphones only this one's an XY pattern this one isn't so obviously how much that affects the sound will go and jump back to the zoom h1 I'm about a foot away right now this room is semi live so you should have some natural reverb possibly a little bit of echo and for one last measure we'll go back to the tascam about a foot away right now shoot me a comment down below letting me know what you think would you prefer which sounds better and do these microphone positions make a difference so hope you guys enjoyed this video I'm going to go to and close it out with a few different random audio tests just some ambient noise so you guys can get a better idea of how it sounds and other environments feel free to subscribe and I'll see you guys later you you
