iPhone 5: Clocked Faster Than We Thought? (1.3 GHz)
2012-09-26
hey guys john there was TLD with a quick
update regarding the a6 processor found
in the iPhone 5 now prior to this video
when I benchmarked it for my review it
clocked in at 1.01 gigahertz so
essentially if we round down it's that
one gigahertz the same thing with an ant
x review he is an awesome reliable tech
reviewer his clocked in at one point
zero two gigahertz but when i updated
the Geekbench app today it was supposed
to better detect the a6 processor or the
iphone 5 hardware and i got a clock
speed of 1.29 gigahertz so that would
possibly explain why the performance has
done so well in the iphone 5 with
geekbench with speed test not only that
but it leads me to believe but there's
dynamic overclocking on the iphone so
when it needs it for heavier tasks it's
going to overclock itself but when it
does need it it will clock itself back
down alongside that chip works and I fix
it tore down the a6 processor to not
only reveal a dual core set up but a
triple core GPU set up which not only
enhances obviously gaming video
performance but overall hardware
acceleration with the OS which would
explain a lot of these smooth and snappy
performance so just a quick interesting
video a lot to share with you guys you
guys want the full review on the iphone
5 which covers everything from the forms
display gaming performance LTE battery
life and all that good stuff check out
that video right here subscribe if you
haven't already and I'll catch you guys
later in the next video
you
