zipper repair kit has an assortment of parts to replace zipper sliders on jackets sleeping bags tents backpacks and even luggage there are two types of zippers one is the split zipper which separates at the end the other is the closed loop zipper that is fully sewn in to fix a split zipper remove the top stop and the slider look at the slider nose to find the right size replacement guide the new slider nose first onto the zipper track add a new top stop and your zipper will be fixed to replace closed-loop zippers remove stitching from the end where the zipper opens remove the broken slider and find the correct size replacement guide both zipper tracks into the new slider nose first pull slowly to ensure tracks are even and teeth are locking together then sew a new stop at the end don't
