okay guys it's time for my totally scientific approach to fan noise testing so I'm going to be taking the GTX 580 the GTX 480 as well as the current ruler of the roost on the AMD side the Radeon HD 5870 I'm gonna hold the camera really close to Ben so you can hear approximately how loud it is and we will do our evaluations based on that I'm gonna make it life a little bit easier for you guys this time though and I'm actually gonna cut together all of the fan noises but you can do an easy side-by-side comparison so right now we've got the GTX 580 idling and let's get it nice and close and listen so we're going to do our idle noise comparison and then I'm going to follow up with a load noise comparison for the load noise test we're going to use fur mark so here is the GTX 580 followed by all of the other parts
