hey what's up guys it's Marcus Brownlee here from mkbhd and I got another software video for you guys today you guys were asking for software so here it is this one as you can see about a title is a little interesting video about how to edit a website as you may have seen me doing on Twitter posting little pictures how to edit a website using JavaScript so I'm just gonna walk you through this real quick what I have here in a notepad document and I'll also put this in the description is a little piece of JavaScript here document.body basically makes the web page editable so I'm just gonna copy this by hitting ctrl C or by right-clicking and copying it and then we're gonna open up any web page that we'd like to edit now we're not actually editing it for the world wide web to see we're just editing it on our computer just for the fun of it it's not really very important or anything it doesn't actually affect the internet but for example here on my website there on my youtube channel up in the URL bar we're just going to copy that and delete it and replace it with that piece of JavaScript hit enter and that will actually it'll blink for a quick second and then now you can see we can go around and edit the numbers on a web page at anything basically so I highlighted the nine I want to type a two here and instead of minutes I'm going to change it to seconds and instead of 1000 subscribers maybe I want 1.3 million subscribers I don't know so yeah just cool stuff like that you can you can edit any webpage you want basically any text on a web page you can change the the text or the numbers or anything like that so maybe instead of having two new messages we'll have a lot of new messages I don't know but yeah this is just I mean it doesn't actually affect anything on the website so if you go onto the website later or if you refresh the page he'll be back to normal but I did like trick my parents into believing I had three hundred thirty thousand views on one of my videos and then I revealed to them that it was JavaScript but yeah it's pretty cool that you can do that that's basically it not a huge deal but I figured you guys were you're missing the software so you want to see more software tutorials so let's pick another website let's see let's pick the website that I'm actually writing for right now tech support alert comm which is actually a website full of freeware then let's just go up to the top of it and we can hit edit then we can change this to just feed we could just change this to blog we can change what everyone on the website even though it's not gonna actually appear when you refresh the page but yeah I just thought you guys would like to see that kind of fun little stuff you can do post your pictures if you have a picture go ahead and post it our message man I'll post it in the description so people can see what you did to a webpage and that's basically it so thanks for checking out this quick little tutorial have fun editing your web pages or whatever you plan to do with this javascript again this will be in the description and enjoy thanks for watching guys peace
