what's up guys David Herren I know we
haven't done a formal style drop test in
a while but that ends today with a drop
test between the brand new HTC 10 and
the Samsung Galaxy s7 now it's been a
while since our last drop test so we've
changed things up a little with a new
draw format from now on the first job
will be on the phone's back the second
on its bottom the third on its side and
then the big one will be a face drop for
the fourth but we won't necessarily stop
there if the phone is still technically
usable where you can make an emergency
phone call
we'll take things to the next level with
a bonus round dropping the phone on its
face over and over again until you can't
make that potentially life-saving call
yes the phone gets weaker and weaker
with every drop but since we're dropping
them consistently with a professional
machine we'll be able to see their
relative strength all right let's do
this
drop number one the back three to one so
while the HTC ten got his medal back
scuffed up along the bottom on the top
the damage pales in comparison to what
happened to the s7 where the glass back
just got completely shattered man that
doesn't look pretty
drop number two the bottom three two one
alright alright so after that bottom
dropped the HC 10 got some nasty scuffs
along the bottom of the phone that
probably looked a little bit worse than
it actually is due to the fact that it's
black the s7 on the other hand also get
scuffed but it's nowhere near as visible
as the HTC 10 thanks to its silver metal
band drop number three decide who the
side drops did both phones dirty with
bite marks going all the way across the
size of both the HTC 10 and the galaxy
s7 maybe only a bit more visible on the
HTC 10 again due to its matte black
coloring dropped number for the front
spiderwebs going everywhere both phones
got their front glass cracked after that
face drop but the HTC 10 is still
technically usable whereas the s7 just
threw in the towel with it not only
cracking on the outside of the glass but
the actual display underneath it
cracking making the phone completely
unusable bonus round so since the HTC 10
can still technically make a call it
enters the bonus round where we'll see
just how many times it can be dropped
before it stops working three two one
ooh that is something good Oh three two
one
okay at that - three two one four five
three two one I don't know one overall
anymore
come on David a workout so stressful
I want to kill it oh my god I'll be back
Oh scrolls it ruining business is the
one oh no it's still slow so I think
yeah yeah
so there you have it the HTC ten beats
the galaxy s7 in this form of style drop
test and becomes the most durable phone
we have tested on the channel anyways
that is it for me in this video be sure
to subscribe for more drop tests just
like this and as always I'll see you in
the very next episode
