hi guys this is Adam lien from the
pocket now and we're here with the Venue
8 Pro from Dell is our first hands-on
video and let's check it out so this is
running Windows 8.1 we have a Intel Atom
1.8 gigahertz quad-core processor it
starts at 299 with 2 gigs of RAM and 32
gigs of storage and has an 8 inch HD IPS
display and it also has an active
digitizer for stylus unfortunately
something happened to the box of
styluses here and I'm an angle to test
it however I'm told that has palm
rejection with hover so you can do all
those websites to have hover buttons and
whatnot and as well as any of the PC
apps in your desktop mode
the hover will work with the stylus
I'm not sure if it has pressure
sensitivity and graphics programs I
think it does have pressure sensitivity
in things like OneNote not sure about
that again no stylus is here
so let's take a look around we have a
front-facing camera up here
at the bottom there's your speaker over
here we have a micro SIM card slot for
your LTE connection as well as a micro
SD card slot for expanding your memory
we also have volume up and down over
there there's your power that goes to
sleep let's see how quickly it comes
back very nice try that again
come back pretty quickly and there's
your micro USB port this would be used
for charging and if you want to connect
a USB peripheral you can get an adapter
it doesn't come with an adapter but
you'll be able to plug in equal size USB
whatever you want
top we have something interesting this
is the windows key
let's unlock it
and say I go somewhere else pressing the
Windows key at the top
she backed the start screen
now it's kind of I think it's kind of
weird being at the top if you're holding
it like this you're not gonna be able to
reach that kind of weird
but if you hold it like this
and rotates it's right there under your
thumb
so having it there in the landscape mode
is actually pretty nice
so you got a quick axe the Start screen
that way
we also have a headset jack and on the
back we have a rigid kind of right here
circular texture
if you can see that over and there's
here five minutes of camera
we have our hands-on view of the Dell
Venue 8 Pro it's very light pretty nice
device pretty sturdy
like it's gonna be pretty nice that's it
for now
