the allure of the round display on the
Moto 360 has overshadowed other Android
wear watches since android wear was
first announced but now LG has a brand
new watch to show off here at Aoife I'm
Taylor Martin with pocket now and this
is a hands-on with the LG G watch our
back in July we took an official
in-depth look at Android wear both
Michael and Joe decided it was a bit
undercooked and the hardware certainly
didn't help the situation both lgsg
watch in the samsung gear life were
essentially bare bone stock reference
hardware / LG just announced this new
android wear watch the LG G watch our
last week of course Android wear is
powering the experience here so if you'd
like to see more on that to specifically
check out our full android wear review
like the highly-anticipated moto 360 the
G watch comes with a circular display
except this is a full circle panel with
no horizon line at the bottom it's p
oled display is 1.3 inches across and
compared to his predecessor the G watch
this display is noticeably sharper and
more vibrant inside it boasts a 1.2 big
herd Snapdragon 400 SOC 512 megabytes of
ram and 4 gigabytes of storage a 410
million Power Cell is keeping the show
running it also has a 9 axis sensor
that's your gyro accelerometer and
compass as well as Bluetooth 4.0 ammeter
and a heart rate monitor it wouldn't be
complete without an ip67 rating for dust
and water resistance either the design
is really what makes us watch so much
more interesting the hard lines and
industrial design sort of make it look
like the Batmobile and the display is
inset hopefully to help avoid scratches
on the display it's still a tad bulky
especially on smaller wrists but it's a
good looking watch that with the right
watch fish could be mistaken for a
normal risk found at timepiece thanks
for tuning in folks and keep it locked
on pocket now for more straight from the
floor here at Aoife in Berlin I'm Taylor
Martin you can find me on twitter at
casper tech and i will see you next time
