if you remember Samsung's s view cover for the Galaxy s4 you'll recall how big an impact it had on our appreciation of that device and HTC's dot view case for the One m8 had a similar effect on our day to day experience with that phone well with today's announcement of the LG g3 came our first opportunity to get to know LG's new flip circle case and if early impressions are any indication this thing looks like a lot of fun I'm Michael Fisher with PocketNow and this is a quick hands-on with the flip circle case for the LG g3 in terms of material the flip circle case is much like other protective flip covers on the market it's a matte soft almost fabric-like material that folds back to reveal the phone's display and no it doesn't have the springy stiffness that makes it awkward to use some of its competitors it also doesn't affect the g3 s Qi wireless charging ability which is a nice bit of thoughtfulness of course it's the round window that gives the flip circle case its distinction but LG's software is the real shining star here offering a handful of fun screen savers and clocks as well as some genuinely useful shortcuts to features you access often but don't necessarily need your whole screen for features like the phone messaging music player pedometer camera and even a quick link to settings there didn't appear to be Google now interaction which would be a real handy inclusion but we might have overlooked it in our quick playthrough our favorite touch is probably the ring animation that traces the circles perimeter in certain modes which completes that futuristic feel the flip circle case will be available in five colors and LG has said it's gonna provide an SDK next month for developers to take advantage of the circular display mode we don't yet have an official word on availability stay tuned to pocketnow.com for more news as we get it also folks don't miss our LG g3 hands-on video live right now here on youtube and follow us on all social media channels and subscribe here on youtube so you don't miss future videos from PocketNow until next time this has been michael fisher thanks for watching and we'll see you soon
