LG sprucing up the camera hardware and software for the g6 I'm checking out the rear unlike g5 or V 20 this dual sensor system is now sunk flush with the rest of the phone body also of note the two sensors now sports the same resolution where v20 had a standard view 16 megapixel camera and an 8 megapixel wide both of the sensors on the back of the g6 are 13 megapixels flipping the phone around that check out the camera software even with the taller screen aspect ratio this is pretty familiar territory for LG immediately we see improvements to the zoom with less of a pop when sliding from zoomed in to switching to the wide-angle view a straightforward auto mode covers the basics well and we see the dual camera pop-out load for example delivering a collage like picture and picture effect manual photo mode is finally joined by a manual video mode similar to the one found on the V 20 focus peaking is included shutter ISO white balance and the audio controls have been expanded we can't change the directionality of microphones but gain filtering and monitoring are greatly appreciated we also inherit the settings for resolution bitrate and aspect ratio the cinema wide mode playing really nice with the phone skinnier screen and speaking of that new display since it's twice as tall as it is wide LG is adding in some fun features to make use of that real estate the new camera app displays your recent photos as a ticker on the left-hand side and a new collection of square composition modes can help you create with overlays collages or replicate previous photos lastly we retain the wide-angle front camera for easy group selfies which can also be slightly zoomed in to deliver a more standard field of view in all we get most of the production power of the V 20 alongside some friendlier fun options and even though we're running these initial impressions on pre-release software so far the photo experience has been smoother than what we currently see on this phones bigger brother we will of course be putting this phone through its paces in a future real camera review if you've been waiting for 20 style camera in a smaller form factor phone has the g6 impressed you drop us a comment down below this video as always thanks so much for watching be sure to subscribe to this channel for our full MWC 2017 coverage and help us out with some sharing on your favorite social networks for pocket now I'm Juan Carlos bag now some gadget guy on Twitter and Instagram and I will catch you all on the next video
