it's got a three in its name but that's
about all Sony's low-end smartphone has
in common with its fancier
contemporaries I'm Michael Fisher with
PocketNow and here's a quick look at the
Xperia e3 a snapdragon 400 an f' WVGA
display and four gigs of storage if
those specs don't say low-end to you
well they should despite the e3 spocream
IAM look it's not hard to see that this
phone is made to be affordable from the
optics 5 megapixel and VGA cameras to
the small 2330 milliamp hour battery the
e3 is gonna need to be pretty cheap to
be worth your while but just got some
fun features like a flick gesture that
opens any app you want and if you've
always wanted something with Sony's
design aesthetic and a more affordable
bundle this thing might just make your
day it also runs pretty smoothly in our
limited testing here and the matte
finish works nicely with the thicker
dimensions to make the e3 very
comfortable in the half Sony's calling
for an autumn release and we'll update
you on price and availability when we
get that info there's lots more to come
from even 2014 in Berlin so stay tuned
to pocket now for our continuing
coverage on Sony and everyone else in
attendance then michael fisher captain
two phones on twitter we'll see you real
soon
