the z3 tablet compact is a familiar
tablet in a whole new size i michael
fisher with pocket now from Aoife 2014
in berlin let's take a quick look Sony
was showing off the z3 tablet compact at
its high-definition audio station when
we played with it and it was interesting
to view it in the context of a media
player Sony's full of superlatives this
Aoife and it's calling this one the
world's best waterproof compact tablet
or something to that effect and it just
might be it's got a matte finish on the
back to ease up on the fingerprint
problem that plagued its full-size
counterparts and while the triluminos
display could be a little brighter
it sure is vibrant the hardware is just
six point four millimeters thick which
is damn impressive considering the 4500
milliamp hour battery specs elsewhere or
a mix of highs Snapdragon 801 and three
gigs of ram and lows eight and two
megapixel cameras it would have been a
nice for Sony to stick to the almost
perfect mirroring of features on the
tablet side across sizes like it does on
the smartphone and the things that that
aside the tablet compact makes for a
pretty potent cocktail given the smaller
footprint and the water and dust
resistance here we'll take a closer look
at the z3 tablet compact later in the
show for now this has been michael
fisher with PocketNow encouraging you to
stay tuned for more from Aoife from sony
and others as our coverage from Berlin
continues
