hey guys this is adam lane with pocket
now calm we're going to give you a quick
hardware tour of the HTC hd7 from
t-mobile let's check it out so first off
you got your 4.3 inch LCD screen this is
a really big screen and at the top we
got HTC and t-mobile logos with a
speaker grill there's a little LED light
in there can't see it unless it's
shining but it's in there and we assume
there's some proximity sensors and
whatnot in there as well down at the
bottom we got our capacitive buttons you
can't really feel them unless they're on
and you press them and at the bottom we
have another speaker grill but that
isn't really a speaker it's just
decoration so no stereo speakers here
kind of unfortunate at the bottom you
got your 3.5 millimeter headset jack and
a micro USB port and a microphone hole
over here we got your volume up and down
buttons you got a little plus sign there
and here's your dedicated camera button
and half presses to focus and then press
is all the way in to take the picture
one thing i don't like about this is you
have to press it really hard to take a
picture look how hard i have to press it
and hold down for three seconds and the
camera will pop up
yeah see there we go I'm going to press
it down pretty hard there's our camera
and then you got to press it hard again
to take a picture which is a pain
because it's so recessed it's really
hard to feel so that's that's one thing
I don't like same with the power button
here we have our power button at the top
and you can see it is very flush so when
you press this it's hard to feel see I
press it there's no real click it works
it goes off and on but there's no not
much movement there so it's hard to feel
it's hard to know if you press it unless
you look at the screen so now I'm
pressing it too lightly there we go so
that's another thing I don't like you
can compare this to the hd2 which has a
really satisfying click I just came in
here for your power switch on the back
we got something special this is our
little metal plate is a kickstand so
that's pretty cool I like that a lot of
people weren't too pleased with the look
of this but personally I really like it
now we here we have our dual LED flash
for the camera and there's your 5
megapixel camera and this is another
speaker grill back there you can see
some more audio comes out of there and
it seems pretty sturdy I suppose if you
really force that you could break this
plasticky but it looks kind of like
metal here's our HTC logo and little hd7
emblem with some metal there and your
windows phone logo now to open it
there's a little slit up here I'm going
to put your fingernail in there and get
app ulit
so this is really a really thin plastic
and there's our batter you have a little
ribbon here to remove the battery that
pops out like that and this is only a
1230 milli ampere hours so same as the
old hd2 um not so great not so big down
here is our SIM card slot and we have
heard that there's a micro micro SD card
under here but you're not allowed to
move remove it I mean you could if you
had like a screwdriver and hammer but we
do not recommend doing that because it's
definitely going to void your warranty
and you're probably going to break your
phone so try to avoid doing that from
those other websites and over here we
have this plastic back here is
translucent so you can kind of see
underneath some parts that's that's kind
of cool there anyway put that back on
terms of specs this is a one be heard
processor you got 512 megs of ram the
usual suspects for windows phone 7 I got
a lot of fingerprints there now and it's
got 16 gigs of internal storage and as
we mentioned four it's non removable and
not upgradeable but there we go pretty
nice the only things I don't like is
that these buttons dhoni thanks for
watching and that's it for now
