Verizon Samsung Omnia i910 the FM radio

2009-01-28
hi this is Steven skarlatos from pocketnow.com today we're going to take a look at the verizon samsung omnia I ninth in FM radio to use the FM radio application you undock the radio from the widget bar and you also need to connect the headphone cable directly or you can use the multi adapter with the headphone cable plugged into that today I'm going to use the multi adapter and the headphone cable the multi adapter allows you to plug in a 2.5 millimeter headset a USB cable or charger and the 3.5 millimeter headphone adapter cable since we need that to make the FM radio work the headphone adapter cable has a mic has a call I answer button on the front and a volume button on the side the cable acts as the FM antenna double tapping the widget application brings up the main FM application and hitting play starts the radio so the radio can be played through the speaker or headphones by using the menu but you have to have the headphone cable plugged in to make it work a neat function is the ability to record in real time but there seems to be no way to have a TiVo function let's say you wanted to record a show at a given time that function doesn't allow but it's nice to have the ability to record on the down side the radio is not compatible with bluetooth a2dp headphones such as my motorola HT 8 20 s the radio does support scanning 12 presets in RDS station and song information this wraps up my overview of the FM radio
