hey guys it's brandon minuman from
pocketnow.com and now we're going to go
in a hardware tour of the verizon touch
XV 6900 as you can see it's painted in
white it's not a metallic paint it's a
flat white paint but it still looks very
attractive the XV 6900 has a very
minimalist design there aren't many
buttons on the sky turning over to the
side we can see that it's point 5 inches
thick it's relatively thin for a windows
mobile phone and on the back we have
nothing more than the camera and it's
lens self-portrait mirror and an
external speaker back on the front the
only buttons that we have are the call
start and call end buttons plus the
d-pad with a select button in the center
the screen is flush which is really
really attractive and it feels quite
nice to the screens made of plastic as
is the entire device which makes it feel
a bit cheap but also it's very very
lightweight it's only 112 grams we have
this chrome strip that runs along the
perimeter of the device again it's
plastic so it's not high quality metal
but it does make the device look thinner
the stylist can be found in the upper
right corner here and it's a non
collapsible stylus high quality it's
kind of short though but that's ok it
fits nicely in the device flipping over
to the bottom we have a microphone mini
USB port for listening to audio charging
and syncing and a lanyard hook here to
the left we take off the back battery
cover and something else I like about
the XV 6900 is there's no seam from
where the the back detaches from the
body it's actually the entire back that
comes off here we have a 1100 milliamp
hour battery and in order to access the
micro SD slot you have to take off the
back battery and it's a very awkward
movement you have to pull pretty hard
with a fingernail to remove this massive
plasticky chrome panel I don't like the
placement of this at all so let's get
that cover back on and you saw
they're a camera button so that you can
hold the device like so and take a
picture this is a very attractive bone
that I wouldn't mind taking out with me
on a friday night resting on the bar
next to my keys and it feels quite
refined I should mention also that
there's a volume slider here on the left
so you can increase the volume and
decrease the volume but that does not
work as a scroll wheel or Scroll
mechanism unfortunately so that's the
hardware of the XV 6900
