hey guys it's brandon minimun from
pocket now calm so windows phone 7
series is not supposed to have multi
tasking mean meaning you can't run an
application go back to the start screen
work on something else and still have
that first application be running in the
background some native x can do it like
like you'll find on the iphone it's not
supposed to work with third-party apps
one of our readers Kevin sent in a
little snippet of code to run on an
emulator that shows oddly some
multitasking behavior and perhaps this
is because windows phone 7 series isn't
finished yet or what we really don't
know why let me just show you what I'm
talking about so I'm going to go to the
application list and go to a simple
video player called play around so here
we are I'm going to press continue and
hopefully you can hear the video in the
background and in a second I'm going to
go back to the start screen and you
should hear the video actually continue
to play and this is not the native video
player this is something that this
person has created so you go back to the
start screen and here we are and I can
click around do other things and I'm
sure you still hear the video in the
background very very strange and if we
go back to the application list the
video is still playing very strange
we're not sure what this means we think
it's just a coincidence and that you
know a few emulator versions from now we
won't see this but it's an interesting
thing to see will speculate on it later
that's it for now
