Alienware Alpha R2 Review & Benchmarks

2016-10-11
yo what's up guys - beer back with another video and today we are going to be taking a look at the airing of our alpha this is a small but very powerful and capable gaming PC it rocks an Intel Core i7 6700 T eight gigs of RAM a gtx 960 and 500 gig mechanical hard drive but it comes in different variants as well such as the i-5 and i threes but if you get the i3 you have to make do with a Radeon r9 m4 70 X graphics card on the front there is two USB ports an RGB power button and an RGB triangle in the corner on the back there is power in the graphics amplifier port for connecting an external graphics card HDMI in and out Ethernet two USB ports and an optical audio port there is also a hidden USB port on the bottom for things like Wireless mice receivers sadly there is not any normal 3.5 millimeter headphone jacks or microphone jacks so what you have to do is either use a USB headset or a Bluetooth one the Alienware alpha is so small that you can actually hold it with one hand and it still packs a punch so take a look at the benchmarks so as you could see this PC handles gaming great the Alienware alpha gets quite hot and noisy though at full load but it isn't anything alarming and if you were headphones you will not even notice it there is one flaw though with the Alienware alpha and that is that it's using a mechanical hard drive it just doesn't feel quick enough if they had like a 128 gig m2 SSD and then like a 500 gig 7200 RPM HDD for storage the Alpha would run a lot quicker the PC is capable of connecting to the Alienware graphics amplifier as I said before where you can install your own graphics card and get much better performance so go ahead and check out my review of that in the description down below if you want to change the colors of the RGB lights go to the Alienware control panel and over there you can change the colors themes and all that fun stuff there's not really anything more to talk about it's not a laptop that requires me to take a look at the keyboard and screen and all that it's just a really small and really powerful gaming PC and that's the conclusion really if you need a small but very capable machine this is a win especially as a console killer slash home theater PC thank you guys so much for watching leave a like if you enjoyed the video subscribe if you want to see more videos like this and I'll see you guys in the next one peace
