Dell Venue 10 Pro 5056 Unboxing & Hands On

2016-06-29
yo what's up guys Toby here from Tech me now and in this video we are going to be taking a quick look at the Dell Venue 10 pro 50 56 so naked it's a tablet but if you want it to be more proper like a laptop you can do so by purchasing the keyboard for it so taking a look at the box you'll find the usual Dell packaging which is extremely dull and boring inside you get just what is needed the product itself the charger and a few documents the product itself has a somewhat plastic build but fortunately it's of high quality it feels nice in the hand but it just doesn't look good like at all it has huge vessels around the screen which is the complete opposite to the Dell XPS lineup and the design is just boring it's actually made for businesses so for them functionality is always more important than this sign so what's the functionality like well let's take a look at its ports for charging it uses the new USB type-c interface which is great next to that is a normal USB type a port followed by a speaker a micro HDMI port volume rockers and a headphone jack on the other side you'll find a Windows button a micro SD card slot another speaker and what seems to be some kind of laptop slash tablet lock on the top you will find the power button and on the bottom there's a mount for the keyboard that you can purchase now that's all handy dandy but when I took a look at the specs I was not very impressed it runs using a 1.4 gigahertz Intel Atom processor 4 gigs of RAM 128 gigs of storage and Intel HD graphics so yeah it's not the most powerful thing in the world the screen though is quite nice it has a resolution of 1920 by 1200 which is definitely enough for a 10 inch screen so how does it perform well quite surprisingly it tunnels normal usage like browsing the web and watching video just fine that's about all it can do the thing gets extremely hot when charging and doing intensive tasks which is weird as it's kind of the hottest tech item that I've ever used and yeah performance all I can say is that the Atom processor is really cutting this guy short so if I were to give it a rating what would that be well I'd give it a 6 out of 10 from a consumer standpoint as you can find much better laptops and tablets for the same price I would give it a 7 out of 10 if I were some kind of business that need a tablet in the office because the venue is actually quite practical and easy to use so yeah some mixed feelings there thanks for watching please like if you enjoy the video also subscribe and I'll see you guys in the next video peace
