What's the best Home Studio Equipment for a total of $500?
Well, you're looking at them right now
So this is the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2
A USB interface that is affordable, looks good, is easy to use and performs well.
It uses a single USB 2.0 port of your computer
So it doesn't need any external power
And it still has 48v phantom power
So plugging in a real deal microphone in to this bad boy, will not be a problem.
We will be pairing the Scarlett 2i2 with the Rode NT1-A studio bundle
And the audio technica ATH-M50x's
Both of these are studio equipment for a phenomenal price!
The M50x's give you great..
crystal clear, detailed and seperated sound
While at the same time, not giving any emphasis on the lower or higher side of the audio
Which is exactly what you want for audio and video production
They also give you a nice pouch and 3 different lenght cables.
The rode nt1a is an Australian made..
pro grade XLR microphone at a not so steep price of $230
And in the box, you get an XLR cable
A shockmount
a pop filter
and a DVD for great tips in the Studio
So all that, plus they're smacking a 10 year warranty on it! Perfect!
Now, how do you plug it in?
Well, it's actually really simple!
So first off, take your Scarlett 2i2
Get the USB cable and plug it in to the back
Then plug the other end in to any USB 2.0 or higher port.
Download the drivers of the website, aaand you're done!
Now just choose the scarlett as your main recording and playback device in Windows
Plug your headphones in
Then plug your microphone in to XLR port number 1
Click the 48v phantom power button
And your whole setup just came to life!
Now this entire video, and my upcoming videos will be recorded with this exact setup using Audacity, a program that works great!
Thank you guys, so much for watching!
