yo what's up guys today we are going to
be taking a look at a soon Micro Four
Thirds lens from Panasonic the 45 to 150
f/4 2f 5.6 the lens is surprisingly
small for its zoom range and build
quality is decent it has a metal mount
and base but the rest is made out of
plastic when zooming the lens gets
really long which can be annoying to
some people as usual it has a zoom ring
and a focus ring both are decently
smooth but you're not going to do any
pull focusing with this lens because it
doesn't have a mechanical focus because
when you turn the ring you don't move
the optics you only send a signal to the
camera that then moves the optics to
focus and that's why there's no stop in
the focusing ring the lens can only
focus at a minimum distance of 0.9
meters or 3 feet it has inbuilt optic
image stabilization but there's no way
to physically turn it off so with that
aside how does it perform I tested it on
my Panasonic g7 camera and here are the
results it's sharp all the way but
there's not that much light to work with
so shooting in low light is not a good
idea
the bow key looks nice and the lens gets
really sharp I also love the optic image
stabilization because it makes it easier
to shoot handheld chromatic aberration
is there but it isn't anything that I
think would bother you the lens is
sturdy but you can definitely feel and
hear the optics moving around when
shaking the lens but still it's 250
bucks which is an amazing price for such
a good lens alright so if you're not
familiar with the micro 4/3 system here
are some things to know before getting
in the sensor is 2 times smaller than a
normal full-frame sensor and what that
means is there will be a crop factor of
2x so when buying a lens the equivalent
focal range on a full-frame is 2 times
bigger than on a Micro Four Thirds
camera so let's play with this the lens
here is 45 to 150 so if you had a
full-frame camera
that's the same as a 90 to 300 lens and
if you had an aps-c camera before the
crop factor will be 1.5 X instead so
that's a little bit better so yeah these
are some things to keep in mind when
buying a Micro Four Thirds camera or a
microphone or lens all right now let's
roll the pictures that I have taken with
this lens so you can get an idea of what
it can do and as I said before this is
taken with the Panasonic g7 body
