on video and buddy's rockin rolling
because we've built a win7 / hackintosh
machine you can see that sucker in the
background this thing's under thirteen
hundred dollars has really good stuff
actually the 6870 video card Wolfley go
to the parts so basically folks check it
out follow along this is a pc that
squawks like a mac let's jump in
now a lot of you guys out there say that
you'd like to have a Mac but you never
have the money to invest in the damn
thing because we all know that max are
super expensive you guys can hear my dog
running around he wants a part of this
Mac action but no so check this out
those guys who are haters well don't
hate we built a really nice hackintosh
now it's a dual boot system so this is
basically a win7 / lion OS computer but
the lion is you guys know is Mac so
here's our first look and our first
delve into building a hackintosh it's
under 1,300 bucks let's jump in and take
a look at the specs for this thing so
let's start this bad boy from the
outside and starting off with the
Silverstone precision case coming in at
eighty dollars then we've got through
rosewill now this is there a high power
supply it's in turn 50 watts coming in
at eighty dollars for the motherboard
we've got the gigabyte x58 a dash you
d3r for a video card we've got the XFX
radeon 6870 the two gigabyte dual fan
edition we've also got the polaris 120
heatsink and underneath that we've got
the i7 920 processor for our primary
drive we have a Kingston 90 gigabyte SSD
now v + 200 drive say 23 very very fast
we also have triple channel memory these
are the kingston hyperx 4 gigabyte
modules we have 12 gigabytes of that and
lastly but not leastly for just primary
storage drive we have the western
digital one terabyte black drive now all
the parts that we've just listened to
you folks these parts come in at under
thirteen hundred dollars you might even
be able to buy them cheaper you can buy
the mac OS action and USB drive for
seventy dollars and install it that way
it just like purchasing an OS when you
purchase one from Microsoft so there you
guys have it a complete hackintosh /
windows 7 system for under thirteen
hundred dollars it's gotten very good
scores almost 10,000 in the geek mark
now this system comes in between
somewhere between a macbook pro and an
actual mac pro now Mac Pro's come into
the market though at about twenty five
hundred dollars for any of the newer
machines and this machines running just
a little bit slower than that and you
see we've built it for under thirteen
hundred dollars so you folks out there

one just play around say damn I wish I
had him back to screw room wyeth well
