addition to your ring doorbell let's check it out now the ring stick up cam is an easy wire free and install security camera no much like the ring video doorbell this camera also has two way audio motion detection cloud HD videorecording and night vision which means that you can see someone even when the sun's down first up let's unbox the ring stick up cam now inside the box you'll get the ring stick up cam itself the screws and the anchors to install it also included is a screwdriver and the Philips Pitt you're going to need to tighten everything down and you also get a drill bit in case you want to install this in something much harder than your wooden door also included is a mounting bracket that actually has its own built in level to make sure that you install it correctly and there's also another mounting bracket that attaches to the stick up cam itself inside the box you'll also get a waterproof micro USB charging cable next up you get the USB charging cable and last up you get the quick install guide and that pretty much sums up what comes inside the box the stick up cam measures in at five inches by 2.5 inches by one inch it also features a 5200 milliamp rechargeable lithium battery that is internally stored there are actually a few ways to charge up your ring stick up cam the first is through the included USB cable but there are also two other ways to charge up your ring stick up cam now the first way is through the included waterproof micro USB cable this cable comes in the waterproof hood for the micro USB slot and the other end simply connects to any standard USB socket now the other way of charging it the stick up cam is through the ring solar panel the solar panel is a 7.5 inch by 6 inch by one and a quarter inch weather resistant solar panel that comes with an adjustable mounting bracket so you can catch the Sun and continuously charge your ring stick up cam it comes with its own micro USB cable which easily plugs into the back of the ring stick up cam so check this out the more venture stick up cam receives regardless of those weather by motion or by live view it's definitely going to impact the life of your battery but no matter how you power up your ring stick up cam whether it be by the USB cable solar panel or just the internal battery there will always be ways to optimize your battery life for live follow the NEP instructions and off you go now inside the app you can check your activity your rings and your motion history inside the app you can set up things like motion alerts and configure motion settings that work just right for you you can set up instant mobile alerts which alerts you when motion is detected giving you the ability to know what is happening on your property all the time now some of the options you can do inside the app are turning off and on zones and configuring the range of the zones you can also receive alerts when motion is detected in those zones and only those zones if you so wish you can also set up something called smart alerts which is pretty much how frequently you want to be notified of what's going on in your zones and the built-in 720 HD wide-angle lens covers up to 30 feet in range and a hundred eighty degree field of view the ring app also has a live view which includes two-way audio between you and the person at the door hey what's up who are you man oh does it need a signature okay I'll be right there are you a DHL FedEx UPS or you're your own special service really which name of your company Richie delivers hell yes he does the stick up Camry quarts forty seconds of the triggered motion event by default if the notification is not answered and uploads it to the rings' website where you can review recordings anytime from anywhere ring also offers free cloud storage for 30 days and after that it's just $3 a month or $30 a year now you might think that installing the ring stick up cam involves a lot of work but nope installing it outdoors is pretty easy all it takes a couple of screws and installing the mounting bracket on the ring and placing the stick up cam wherever you want it also included in the ring home
