what is up technobuffalo land what's going on i'm noah and i am in barcelona spain it is about fight it is 5 p.m. on the dot sunday local time barcelona catalonia spain and i'm sitting in a hotel lobby not my hotel but down the road the good news is Barcelona is still one of my favorite cities on the planet it's just gorgeous and just such a cool fun town and somehow seeing my friends from the industry bloggers and PR people and stuff last night I went from being jetlag exhausted and stressed out that my luggage hadn't arrived to uh hanging out literally all night so I crawled home about five a.m. it's got some sleep woke up put on the second of the two shirts that I bought at the shopping mall on Saturday when I realized I had you know only the clothes I traveled in and then i hand washed the first shirt so I'd have something cleaned or tomorrow the bags haven't come yet and got a sandwich a lovely chat with a bar Simonian woman who lived in San Francisco for a little while so we had some stuff to talk Roger spoke English and then came down here to the Hilton because I knew they had Wi-Fi and an insane amount of money later he was 27 euro for 24 hours of Wi-Fi service which is uh that's like over 30 bucks about 30 bucks it's crazy but what are you gonna do Here I am so yeah excited for the show headed to Samsung's event tonight Samsung always does crazy events the production values and their events are insane and this one promises to be a trip it sits at a palace an old building in a park and who knows what it's going to be like but we're expecting to see the 10 inch Galaxy Tab and then a next-generation galaxy s phone as well tomorrow also at the same time tonight there will be a sony ericsson press conference expecting to see the xperia play which i don't know why they'd interests named it the playstation phone well i dunno why its lights stuff with sony ericsson so but anyway they should have and there's also a nokia press conference tonight so I TechnoBuffalo will be covering all three of them i will try to get hands-on with the different devices as quickly as possible if I don't get it tonight i'll get it tomorrow at the show it's one out to show LG press conference in the morning I've got a meeting with sony ericsson to check out the playstation i'm sorry the xperia play let's see there's a meeting with tmobile to check out the LG LG slate tomorrow is pep calm which is the big press preview event so hands-on not free of you but precedent they have them not usually on the night of the first night of the show so hands-on with all the stuff there tuesday morning is HTC's press conference to see what they have in store lots of rumors about a tablet from them facebook phone or you know a phone with a facebook button that kind of stuff so yeah just goes and goes and goes i want to give a big shout out to my friend andy from best buy mobile who gave me a recommendation what he said was the best tapas bar top us not topless top us ah which is like you know small plates it's a local cuisines tradition here in spain and he told me was the best tapas bar in the world i went there last night with it with a friend mike renewing for mobile industry review I'm not name-dropping I'm just trying to know it Adams just so you know check out mobile history review it's an interesting site you one's got a strong perspective on things you read this stuff you'll you'll know what i mean the anyway we went there and the food was fantastic so Andy thanks for that and I've got to see all kinds of people yesterday you and chris from SlashGear bread from mobile crunch who else do I see last night Eric from phonescoop you know ken and Bonnie from cnet just you know it's a cool thing this little traveling thing we only see these people if he shows and lots of PR people and stuff so we had some fun last night a guy named Kevin who I don't know if he's still writing for telephony or not but if you're interested in kind of the business side of things and how services worth look for a Kevin stuff you've smart dude anyway so there you go just a little hello from from Barcelona gonna pack up get a taxi head over to the Samsung event I will try to if you're interested I'm also doing blogging for the nvidia blog they sponsored my trip over because I'm helping them out with their blog a little bit I'm covering for technical ridiculous way nicer than where I live at home and that was just lucky because nvidia the hotel rooms they'd booked they didn't have any labs and they had me and a couple of other people who kind of last minute we're going to make the trim so they had to find us somewhere to stay and they built this apartment it's it's one of the kids say it's off the hook all right anyway stay tuned for a coverage from the Samsung event tonight 6pm barcelona time which is nine hours ahead of california at six hours ahead of the east coast of the US i think i'd still saying eight hours perform in section nine so you know that'll be kind of middle today in the afternoon in the US so stay tuned for coverage from all the press conferences and all the hands-on video i can get i will get an upload
