hi this is dieter bohn for the verge and
we are looking at a couple of Mara salt
tablets which actually technically
they're supposed to be categorizes Erie
ders they say and I viresoft remem illy
ER with it is a display technology that
can be reflective but also still be
color so it will work in direct sunlight
and I look like a regular LCD or close
to it and if there is not any direct
sunlight that it can reflect it can work
with either a backlight or in this case
it reaches a front light both of these
tablets are running a custom version of
android 2.3 pretty heavily customised
the kilo is for the korean market and
bam book is for the chinese market the
cables available now BAM books should be
available in the coming weeks and as you
can see here in our demo it handles
stuff pretty well although the refresh
rate is not all that fast and frankly
it's hard to know if it is a function of
just poor implementation of Android a
slow device or the display my sense is
that it's a combination of all three of
those things it is running i believe a 1
gigahertz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor
as to class and it's a 1024 x 768
display so it really should be able to
handle you know going to be water so
there's a lot of my cue from the display
nevertheless it is still interesting
display technology and we would like to
see more of it hopefully they can work
out some more the kinks before they try
to leave so much as like this here
